yippee, had the bloodwork drawn today

Hi all,

Just an update. Phew! I made it ... got the HealthcheckUSA paperwork in

this morning's mail. Fasted all night in case it would come. BEGGED the

blood-drawing center to take me today so I wouldn't have to fast again

and wait anymore. They did! The receptionist sucks, but the lab

assistant who took the blood was so nice, so informative! (No one there

ever heard of healthcheckusa, but they knew labone) The place I went is

a community nursing center, they have nurse practitioners on staff (I

like nurse practitioners - they listen usually). The assistant said I

could come there for all my future health needs, because they only

charge $65 for an office call - not the outrageous prices I'm used to

paying when uninsured. She said even a full female pelvic / pap exam is

only $100! WOw! AND ... drum roll ... she said they're well aware that

the free-T4 and free-T4 tests are IMPORTANT! Holy cow. I had to ask her

twice if she meant that. Maybe, just maybe this is the place where I

can finally sort out my health? Good heavens - pinch me --- I hope this

is the solution to a long standing problem. Can you tell I " m excited

today? I'm so hungry though that I could eat a truck - will be snacking

all day to make up for this 19-hour fast I had to do today ... it was

only supposed to be a 10-12 hour fast - but they couldn't take me right

away. Anyway - in 7-10 days the results should come. I hope I hope I

hope they show what's wrong and that I can get it FIXED!

ALSO - another update - Larry's mom goes in tomorrow morning at 5:30

a.m. central time for her open heart surgery. It is major, and they have

now said she will be in there for about 8 hours (instead of the

predicted 5). She will have family and friends there round the clock -

but again - your targeted zoned in good carma vibes and wishes are so

appreciated! I called her last night and she's up for it ... so that's

excellent.
