-BTW - I am only taking T3 5 - 5 - 2 Would this be the problem? Could

the anxiety be too much adrenaline and would you have adrenaline

problems if adrenal fatigue?

Can you tell me what you would suggest in terms of treatment?

Maybe I should go back onto HC rather than Isocort?

I know you help so many people but I am hoping you remember the

issues I had last time with the HC.

Thanks

Val

Thanks so much for answering. I just read your post re busyness after I

posted. If you could give me advise i would really appreciate it.

I was on HC started 14th Feb'07 2x2mg=4mg daily /Aug'07 22mg daily .

Then in Oct 26mg daily. I think now that I had a panic attack in the

dentist chair in Oct which seemed to trigger the whole episode.

Thanks again

I htink you should slowly work upto 20MG dialy and track temps while you

do it. WATCH for that fluid retention you had before or is it still there?

I haven't had fluid retention problems. My temps are all fine average

approx 98.24 to 98.78. In ER all my bloods were normal. So you think

I should forget Isocort and take HC? What dose would I start on?

Thankxs

Swap out the Isocort you are on wiht HC sdosing and go up from there

following the ramp up directions in the files section. Panic attacks are

almost always form LOW cortiosl.

Before I started HC for my adrenal insufficiency, I, too was extremely sensitive

to sound and couldn't stand it. This gets better with enough HC.

So sensitive to noise

Val

I started Isocort yesterday as per your advise (many posts under A

picture tells a thousand words). Am taking just 1 pellet per day and

going very slowly as did have that hyper (?) episode.

I have had a lot of anxiety and a major panic attack (thought I was

having a heart attack ) last week and ended up in ER.

The Dr's have me on 2 types of antibiotics thinking that my root canals

maybe infected. Due to have surgery to have them removed on 14th Jan.

Am having an iron IV on 9th Jan as iron just doesn't seem to be

improving.

The Dr's think that my adrenals are fine as they were in the lab ranges.

Can you tell me why I am so sensitive to sounds and is the anxiety just

adrenal fatigue?

Thanks

while i was on 20 mg dosage. I think b6 helps a little.

multiple sources of noise it just about drives me batty!

Does anyone have trouble hearing people on the phone??? I wondered if that had

anything to do with anything LOL

Age? I'm 61, soon to be 62, and now getting somewhat deaf. If I turn

up the phone receiver volume, the beeps it makes when I dial hurt, but

if it isn't all the way up I can't hear people talk.

I notice also that I am very sensitive to sounds in certain frequencies,

at the same time as I'm getting deaf to voices and some other frequencies.

It has become a source of friction between me and my husband. I can't

hear him, he thinks I'm ignoring him. He doesn't seem to get it that I

can't hear him. Of course I can hear him, what? what? burrmfoggle

ractalwitz? Is that what you said? It's just SO much fun to have to

respond to every question with " I couldn't hear you? " about a hundred

times a day.

HUH? LOL As a person that has worked with DOGS all my life I thought it

was just the constant exposure to barking that is killing my hearing but

who knows. Hypo long tern destroys alot of tissue. Heck it got my teeth,

,y eyes are bad my heart, why not hearing too?

I've had poor hearing my whole life too. But I noticed something

curious. Both times that I had surgery, it seemed I could hear much

better than usual. I was laying in bed with eyes closed, " in

recovery, " as they say, but I could hear my husband talking to his

brother and father, and of course, they were not sitting right next to

my bed, but kind of at the far end of the room. I normally can't hear

someone talking if they're that far. So Val, does anesthesia somehow

bump up your thyroid? What else would make me temporarily hear better?

Just curious.

Wow, I am not in the norm here, I have very good hearing , too good

sometimes lol and I startle easy, but I know the startling part is from the low

adrenals I have.

I do not htink it is the anesthesia,, but possibly the heightened cortisl

response ot surgery .

I personally think the hearing issue is adrenals and not thyroid. I had

excellent hearing even with thyroid issues until my adrenals crashed and now

I have all the issues others are speaking of.

Maybe during surgery the body pumps more cortisol?

Sometimes they give you an IV painkiller before you awaken from

anaesthesia. They often use Fentanyl (synthetic heroin), to

keep you calm and not in pain, as you awaken. In fact you will

feel better than normal, with a very sharp mind.
