Guest guest
I originally sent for my 3 mgs of LDN from a pharmacy in Illinois. They were small capsules with a small amount of " air " in them. I took them for three months. I felt they helped me as to energy and sleeping through the night. No getting up to use the bathroom. I can't recall (senior moment) how much they cost me, but do remember they were quite expensive. I recently sent to Skips for 3 mgs of LDN and they were much cheaper than order from Ill. They are small capsules just about filled with green (stuff). I have been on them almost two weeks, and not only did I have a setback (lotsa pain) I was up all night and going to the bathroom at least three times. I get about 3-4 hours sleep, and that is mostly from 6 am to 8-9 am. I called Skip when the capsules arrived and asked him why the contents were green. First he said it was Broccoli then he changed his mind and said it was Brussels Sprouts. Well, this is my question. Anyone on Skips prescription (LDN) receiving green capsules and are they getting any relief from them? Connie
Guest guest
Connie and Gordon, I have been on LDN since April. I get the capsules from the Prescription Center in LaCrosse, Wis.-- I live in Minnesota. I can think of no reason whatsoever that the powder inside should be any color other than white. I think I'd question them, or change pharmacies. I started on 4.5mg., cut back to 3 mg. after only 1 wk. because of the stiffness. At first I did remarkably well and saw some improvements in my speech, much less laughing at inappropriate times, increased strength and coordination in my left hand, sleeping through the night without getting up to use the bathroom.... Our schedule has been really hectic here since mid May and I didn't think the LDN was working as well.Thought I was getting worse again. I had read on the LDN site about a doctor writing in, asking if anyone had ever tried to address some of the side effects of LDN. Such as taking Magnesium to help the stiffness. Two weeks ago I increased the dose again to 4.5mg. and added magnesium to the line-up of pills I take. I think it helps. I would recommend to anyone who has trouble with stiffness when increasing the dosage, to try adding magnesium to see if it helps. Since increasing the dosage to 4.5mg. I feel better again. My speech is much clearer. Like Parli Lynn has said, it is not a cure. But I think for anyone who's able to get the prescription, it is worth trying. I only went off it once, that was 2 days before the Iowa connection. I thought I was worse by not taking it. It may have just been coincidental?? I may try again, taking a break for 2 days and see what happens. Hope this helps. Lana > I originally sent for my 3 mgs of LDN from a pharmacy in Illinois. Guest guest
I get the green capsules from Skip's. I started with 3 mg. but found that my legs got stiff. I went off for a couple of weeks and then started on 1.5. No more stiffness. Sleep has never been a problem. Maybe you need to try 1.5. Skips charges $5 + change for 30 capsules, plus shipping of about $4, so it pays to order 60 or 90 for the same shipping charge. I ordered 30 because I first wanted to see how 1.5 worked. By the way, Skip fills 60,000 caps of LDN a month. This has turned into a windfall for him. Edith > I originally sent for my 3 mgs of LDN from a pharmacy in Illinois.
