Guest guest
I started 2.5 mg of cortef yesterday. I'm getting a high pulse sometimes (about 103), and my temperature has come up from about 97.3 to 98.1 in the morning. My blood pressure has gone up a bit. I'm thinking maybe I'm getting that thing described by Peatfield -- T4>T3 conversion starting to work abruptly. Also, I'm extremely exhausted in the afternoon -- more than usual. But I can handle all of this. Is it okay to stay at 2.5 until I feel more comfortable -- before proceeding up? I tried to start Armour off and on for years, but I could never tolerate more than half a grain, and it didn't seem to help me at all. It never raised my temperature at all. I had a so called hormone expert some years back who put me on 15 mg of some sort of time-released " natural cortisol " from a compounding pharmacy. So, I thought I had been there, done that. When I stopped it six months ago, I noticed no change at all. I now realize that it hadn't been working at all. Any hints are much appreciated. Thanks All!
