That was helpful. I kept finding tons on ethanol for liver tumors and very little on thyroid problems. It is an interesting approach. I'll ask my doctor about his current research and see if I can learn more. As for the " easy " reasons, I didn't know about LID previously so it's possible that impaired my scans although I know there is some controversy there (I don't think Mayo does LID but I would do it anyway). My former doctor had told me to just avoid broccoli and fish 3 days before pilling. I didn't have a CT with contrast and TSH was well over 100 (yicky feeling!) each time so those were ok (or maybe TSH was too high and that's why Tg kept growing!). Ugh. Just want this to be over. There is something very attractive about an immunology approach and " training " my body to fight the cancer itself--I'll just have to learn more.
