These were my results, how do they compare to yours? 7 to 8 AM: 6 - depressed - ref val 13-24 nM 11 to Noon: 3 - depressed - ref val 5-10 nM 4 to 5 PM: 2 - depressed - ref val 3-8 nM 11 to MidN: 1 - normal - ref val 1-4 nM Cortisol Burden: 12 - ref val 23-42 DHEA: 4 Normal - ref val 3-10 ng/ml Patient Result Interpretations: Depressed morning cortisol, < 13 nM, is suggestive of marginal HPA performance. Normal rhythms exhibit highest cortisol value for the day at 7-8 AM. Morning cortisol augmentation, or 11 Beta HSD inhibitors, as in licorice, worth consideration. Guest guest
Mine were: 7-8am= 9 depressed (13-24) 11am-12p= 8 normal (5-10) 4pm-5pm= 1 depressed (3-8) 11pm-12am= 3 normal (1-4) Cortisol Burden= 21 (23-42) DHEA=4 normal (3-10) Then it said the same about morning augementation such as licorice. Weird that mine didn't put me into a box, my little black dot is in the reference range box, not any boxes with a number in them, know what I mean by reference range box, with the little chart thingy on the page. Anyway...the way my cortisol flucuates like this, up down up down, im hoping it isn't hard to treat. You think....stage 4? 5? Thanks - > > > > - > > your name says you are stage 5, I was wondering what your saliva > tests > > were to compare to mine.. > > These were my results, how do they compare to yours? > > 7 to 8 AM: 6 - depressed - ref val 13-24 nM > 11 to Noon: 3 - depressed - ref val 5-10 nM > 4 to 5 PM: 2 - depressed - ref val 3-8 nM > 11 to MidN: 1 - normal - ref val 1-4 nM > Cortisol Burden: 12 - ref val 23-42 > DHEA: 4 Normal - ref val 3-10 ng/ml > Patient Result Interpretations: > Depressed morning cortisol, < 13 nM, is suggestive of marginal HPA > performance. Guest guest
Gosh, I would not be the one to ask. I just figured out what mine was. Where in the reference range box is your square? Upper left, upper right, lower left etc. That might help. Val would be the person to best advise you. My guess would be that you would be closer to 4 since you have some normal times but I could be way off base. Guest guest
In the reference range square, my box is in the lower left corner. Still confused. From examples I saw online, mine should've been in a box with a number in it... weird huh? I see a box for 1, a box for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and then this reference range box. I know if I were too bad, it would say needs cortisol, not just morning augementation. huh? > > > > Mine were: > > 7-8am= 9 depressed (13-24) > > 11am-12p= 8 normal (5-10) > > 4pm-5pm= 1 depressed (3-8) > > 11pm-12am= 3 normal (1-4) > > > > Cortisol Burden= 21 (23-42) > > DHEA=4 normal (3-10)
