Guest guest
Hi everyone, Seems I need help again ... We purchased a Campus-S Microlink for our 3 year-old about 2 months ago - we're very happy with it! - she uses it at home and at preschool. But I'm having a technical problem: Her HAs (Widex Sensos) have the tamperproof battery doors, the ones with that itty-bitty microscopic screw, the one I dropped five times and almost lost before installing correctly - anyone know these things? I'm convinced whoever designed this is truly wicked. Anyway, this little screw doesn't engage with the battery door ENOUGH, and so when the FM boots are snapped on, and are jiggled, they pull at the battery door which opens a little, and the contact is lost (when I listen through the stethoscope, the sound just cuts in and out as the boot is wiggled around). The obvious solution would be to get a longer screw - but our audi called Widex and they didn't have one to offer. She's going to try Phonak to see if they have any experience with this problem. Widex suggested replacing the battery doors with NON-tamperproof ones, but I wonder how well they snap shut? If anyone has solved this problem, please, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks. in CO - mom to: (5.7) - hearing, typical Kate (3.7) - mod-sev SN, microcephally, delayed
