Guest guest
Sinuses are intricately intertwined wih the adrenal function. Low adrenal function often first exhibits wiht a sinus " infection " which may or may not be an infetion or just an irritation. I would recommend getting cortiosl levels checked with a saliva cortisol test. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
That adrenal list I was looking at today listed it as an adrenal issue. I think pressure and sinus issues can be either thyroid or adrenal related. Are you taking HC? Have you tested low in cortisol? Cheri Sinus Pressure and headaches/Fog I have been having weird sinus pressure and associated headaches with brainfog ever since I " got sick. " This was the day two and a half years ago when I first noticed that I had something wrong, which turned out (after two years of misery) to be a hypothyroid issue. My TSH was over 250. I am now on 4 grains of Armour which I take bucally, two grains at a time twelve hours apart. The sinus stuff has been worse lately with fewer times of relief than there has been up until now. I never had sinus issues before I " got sick " (I am a 37 year old male.) There is no infection or dripping or running or anything like that. When I feel the pressure, my nose is actually stuffy (the air flow is restricted), bit it's not plugged up with mucus - it's like the passages are swollen. I honestly believe that this is not really a sinus problem, but rather a symptom of being hypothyroid. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Troy Eckhardt . Guest guest
YES!!! I have always had " swollen " nasal passages!!! And I hate to say it, but especially when I was Pregnant..but the same issue has arisen several times now since I went hypo..The Endro and I agree that has to do with hormones being out of balance - as they happen to be when I was PG. So you should probably get a hormonal panel done....maybe your's are out of whack because the thyroid is not producing properly. I also have a tumor on my pituitary, some them are what they call non-functional as in they do not put out hormones...others put out or put pressure on the pituitary so that some of your hormones are not produced. This can all be done via bloodwork or salvia testing - I am sure women are not the only ones with hormonal imbalances.
