Guest guest
I would suggest working your HC dose up a bit faster than is usually recommended. Foir me (Diabetic on Insulin) HC actually is lowering my glucose. Low dose does not seemto do that but once I got to 20mg + it does lower it substantially. I think you need to get to the point it si actully helping the thyroid work correctly and THAT is what actually lowers the glucose. I would go on a low glycemic diet till then. When are you taking the 5MG? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I took 2.5 for 3 days when I woke up, 2.5 in the morning and at lunch for 3 days, and tomorrow I would start going up to 7.5. - probably 8 am, 12 pm & 4 pm. That really is not possible ot raise glucose. I would go to 5 in the Am adn then 2.5mg at noon fo rth enext raise as you need to establish a cortisol rythym which is very important. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
ooooh. i already took 2.5 in the morning and 2.5 at 12:30. Should I skip 4:30 pm today and tomorrow do 5 mg in the morning and then 2.5 at lunch? Guest guest
Val, I took 5 mg this morning and went from 110 fasting bg to 143 bg after breakfast. I had the same breakfast I've had many times before starting HC and then doing 2.5 mg and I only went up a few points. Should I just assume this will even out when I get higher? Guest guest
Yesterday, the first day I took 5 mg instead of 2.5 in the morning, I test 110 bg fasting. I ate 2 turkey sausages and 2 cups of coffee with coffeemate and, 1 hour later, tested bg at 143. (I'd eaten this many times before and just went up 7-10 pts.) This morning my fasting bg was 103 - the 2nd day I took 5.0 in the morning. It went up to 109 before I ate breakfast (but had taken the HC) and then, 40 min later, went down to 101. 15 min later down to 94. Perhaps my bg is adjusting to the higher dose and perhaps I'm just a lot more sensitive to sugar (as in the Coffee Mate) on HC? But what is really concerning me is how I feel. When I was just on 2.5 in the morning, I was feeling better than before I started. When I was taking 2.5 in the morning and then 2.5 at lunch, I was feeling a little edgy and having trouble sleeping but still generally OK. On both of those doses, when I worked from home, I felt OK most of the day. When I had to go into work, I crashed in the afternoon. But yesterday, when I took 5.0 in the morning, I crashed hard 3 1/2 hrs later, felt a little better after lunch dosing, crashed a little more in the late afternoon and had trouble sleeping until very late. Today I couldn't wake up and I feel so spacy I can't think. I have a headache, my sinuses hurt and I feel slightly nausous. (I took 5.0 this morning). Am I going up too fast? Is it possible to just need 2.5? Thanks! Guest guest
I am certainly no expert, but I thought that caffiene was really hard on the adrenals. Maybe that is the culprit? Guest guest
According to Dr. , author of " Adrenal Fatigue " caffeine is the WORST thing for adrenals and next comes sugar and all other stimulants. Guest guest
I don't think I can kick coffee cold turkey. I've been drinking less lately and when I feel better, plan to drink even less. Meanwhile, does it mean I should take less of a dose of HC (the 5 mg in the morning) when I drink my coffee? What I did was switch out half my regular coffee for Decaf. I buy organic coffee and I feel it si better for you than tea which is FULL of fluoride. On half Caf my pulse is behaving and I feel fine. Caffeine does NOT replace cortisol so you should take the cortiosl the same with or without coffee, in fact consistency in cortisol dosing is essential. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
