Guest guest
I will post my labs and plan on having my adrenals tested as soon as the semester is over here which is in the next few days. Basically, I feel while I finally found a doctor who is willing to address the issue of adrenal fatigue and hypothyroid that I am dealing with I don't know if he is going about it the right way. Basically, after telling him of all my symptoms (which you can read from my story posted previously) is that he felt my wake sleep cycle was disturbed and that once I got that taken care of I would be fine. He said I was an easy case compared to most, and I would be feeling better in a matter of a couple weeks. He put me on regime of Vit D, 5-HTP, and GABA at bed time while also telling me to take other vitamins such as magnesium, mega doses of vit-c, and iodine to help along with my armour which im only at 30mg nows. He said that he would prescribe me HC if I wasn't better after awhile but he thought that I wouldnt need it and could recover on my own. The thing I don't understand is that from most people dealing with this it seems that it is a long long process with many setbacks. I just dont see how I could possibly recover the way he is talking about in a matter of weeks when this has been going on for the past 9 months maybe longer. Maybe with HC but like I've seen from people on here even that takes awhile. I'm a 22 yearold guy and should be in the prime of my life enjoying myself the thing is I'm so scared about never recovering from the physical and mental effects this has had on me the brain fog, the puffy moon face with the sunken eyes and dark circles under them, the fact that i have very little energy. it's jsut I guess I'm realizing there is no quick fix for this and I'm sort of shot down in my prime when I should be making the most of it all. I'm just so upset i feel hopeless.
Guest guest
Can't really sya if this treatment has hope until we see your saliva results. the STAGE of adrneal fatigue matters . Youth is on your side! It is MUCH easier to correct these problems when you have caught them at your age! Though it is a real shame ot have young people suffering wiht these problems, you are YOUNG and most of us here have had these problems for 10+ years and really have beat up bodies wiht years of accumulated toxins to clear out & years of undertreatment for our thyroid too. SO keep your chin up.. healthy attitude helps the adrenals as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
> I'm just so upset i feel hopeless. > Understand that your feelings are normal, and that one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is depression. Once you get your saliva labs back and start your treatment program and can tolerate more thyroid, your depression WILL improve. So hang in there . . .
