Guest guest
Val, I have resisted taking B Pressure med for about two years, but was getting so last week, I took the Benazepril she perscribrd (for 3 nights). Pressure is l78/98 now. Pulse is usually 58 - 60. Now is 78. Could Benazepril be interacting badly with the Isocort.?I I had been on 8 pellets all month, tried 5mg at bedtime along with blood pressure med and woke at 4:00 and had to get up. BP was l88/98,but came down a bit. I have felt HORRIBLE today. Should I try just taking a small amount of the BP medicine tonight,or can I just quit since I.have only taken it 3 nights. Don't want withdrawal symptoms on top of these other feelings. Have slight headache and very wired. If ever I needed you,I need you NOW. Dont want to quit isocort as I was steady with temps and ready to start T3. Would hate to lose the ground I've gained on adrenal support. Pat .. Pat Re: Re: Doctor perscribed blood pressure med. >>I thought the purpose of taking sea salt was to raise low blood pressure--Am I mixed up?<< Sea salt corrects incorrect BP. It can alos lower HIGH BP contrary to what we are taught. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
I just checked and Benazepril along with being an Ace Inhibitor, is also a Beta Blocker. I do nto think ANYONE wiht hypothyroidism should take a Beta Blocker unless they have a pulse through the roof and just long enough to get their pulse out of the danger zone. It may WELL make your BP higher as low thyroid is probably the cause of it being high to begin with. I would stop it. Abotu 6-7 months ago I tried Lisinopril for 10 days. I could not stop crying, gained weight adn all my hypo pains came back with a vengeance. UH UH.. this is not a good drug to take with hypo. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Oh, thank you Val. What a sweetheart to check this out. Do you think I can just omit thel0 mg tablet of Benazepril I've been taking the past 3 nights? How fast did you quit yours - boy you really had a reaction. Sorry you had to go through that. I guess we find out in a hurry, I'm so glad you thought of that. What do you think, just quit? Love ya, Pat Re: Re: Doctor perscribed blood pressure med.- HELP I just checked and Benazepril along with being an Ace Inhibitor, is also a Beta Blocker.
