Guest guest
No. If you are low you take another supplement called Florinef. Sea salt also helps if you have low aldosterone. Guest guest
Val needs to step in if this is incorrect, but I believe the reason Isocort is recommended over other adrenal extracts is because it's a " purifed adrenal glandular. " So you don't get the adrenaline that other brands might have, or the sex hormones, or the aldosterone. I think ACE stands for adrenal cell extract, but if you want to get technical, epinephrine and norepinephrine are produced in the medulla; DHEA, pregnenolone, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, and androstenedione are produced in the zona reticularis; cortisol (THE ONE WE HERE ALL NEED) is produced in the medulla; and aldosterone is produced in the zona glomerulosa. > I asked this question because I wondered how come I had been taking these for 6 years(stages low 4 through 7) and did not need Florinef while some who are on Cortef need it. Because everyone has a different deficiency. Some on Cortef need Florinef, others do not. Some need DHEA, some do not. But everyone on this board needs cortisol, and you get that for sure in Cortef or Isocort. Barb

Guest guest
Whoops SORRY! Read 's picture wrong. Technically from the zona fasciculata, which is in the cortex. Guest guest
Aldosterone is produced by outer part of cortex but still cortex production..Do cortex extracts exclude outer part of cortex? bw nil/7 Re: aldosterone-cortex extracts No. If you are low you take another supplement called Florinef. Guest guest
hi barb I personally am not familiar with anything but Isocort, but I DO know that some other brands have adrenaline in them because people complain about getting " speedy. " The ingredient label should tell you what's in your bottles. i think they are mentioning about glandulars. glandulars give support to tissue regeneration. some glandulars contain both cortex and medulla and give this hyper feeling. Because everyone has a different deficiency. Some on Cortef need Florinef, others do not. Some need DHEA, some do not. But everyone on this board needs cortisol, and you get that for sure in Cortef or Isocort. i think that must be related to stages Barb. if you are stage 7 you definately need dhea. bw nil
