Guest guest
Hi Folks, I'm miserable with a horrible flu/cold. I'm over the feverish part, but now I'm congested and it hurts to swallow. I'm 99% sure this is from congestion - but afraid to take a decongestant... Any recommendations for an over the counter remedy?? Guest guest
Hi Joscelyn, I haven't found anything without pseudophdrine in it. The only thing that I can take and apparently my only option is a cortisone nasal spray Flonaise (prescription in Canada). Otrivin works faster and is over the counter, however you can't use if for too long. Good Luck...hope you feel better!! Lee > > Hi Folks, > > I'm miserable with a horrible flu/cold. I stopped using over the counter stuff when my EP couldn't recommend one. I talked to a Pharmacist and he couldn't either but did say I might get some relief from a nasal saline solution. It's sold OTC and it did help. I also bought those " Breath Right " nose strips and they also helped. I see now where they're making them with menthol vapor on them to help open up the nasal passage even more. P
Guest guest
Hi, You might try Sino Fresh (sold in CVS for around 17.99) I knows its expensive, but, it works great. It actually kills bacteria, molds, and fungus in the nasal passages. it contains some spearment oil, wintergreen oil and peppermint oil, along with the other ingredients (to open you up) . works great!
