Guest guest
Unrefined sea salt! It is the best thing you can do to help adrenal fiunction whether they are high or low. 1/4 tsp tice a day to 1/2 tsp dependig on your system. Also abotu caffeine, I went to half caffeine and found that was fine for me. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I been using sea salt quite free-handedly! Just wonder is there any signs that show that I use too much sea salt? Or is it fine to take in higher amounts? My BP's fine and I don't feel too thirsty. I sprinkle it a bit in my water thruout the day. I don't know how much I use altogether with water and food daily, maybe 1,5-2tsp? > > Unrefined sea salt! Guest guest
As long as you do not see excess fluid retention it is fine. Sea salt can work either way it can cause fluid retention if you use too much or it can releive it if you need Sodium. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
One cup/day, 1/2 caf. 1/2 decaf. With as little sleep as I'm getting, I sort of need it still which I know is bad. It's also one of the little things that I look forward to in the AM and there aren't many little things like that left that I can indulge in so I haven't given it up yet. > > Unrefined sea salt! Guest guest
Sea salt! I knew that! I just can't remember anything. I'll just have to cut out the caffenine completely. I'm not very good at weaning off things I like. I can usually get down to a decent amount, but then it starts creeping up again. I had completely quit drinking caffine about 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my youngest. My body didn't want anything with caffine in it. I didn't drink it for awhile, but started back again because my energy levels kept getting worse and worse. I need it now to get through the day. It wasn't a fun day when I did the salava test and had to avoid it. Sodas are my method of ingestion though. Coffee doesn't agree with me. I've never had problems sleeping after having it. I'm pretty sure I could have a caffine iv hooked up and still sleep just fine. Of course, I still wouldn't be rested when I got up. :-) Cherie > > Unrefined sea salt! Guest guest
I have never been a big coffee drinker but switching to decaf tea was one change I had to make and giving up chocolate is the one I cannot kick. I try to limit it to only one week out of the month though. Cheri RE: lifestyle changes ?? Sea salt! I knew that! I just can't remember anything. I'll just have to cut out the caffenine completely. Guest guest
Dark chocolate doesn't count does it? It's supposed to be good for you. <grin> I'm certain it must be an exception. Do they make caffine free chocolate? Cherie > > I have never been a big coffee drinker but switching to decaf tea was one > change I had to make and giving up chocolate is the one I cannot > kick. Guest guest
I wish it didn't count, lol. Yeah, it is good as far as antioxidants and I get the organic kind, but the caffeine in it for adrenal fatigued folks is not good. Although it is much lower than coffee's from what I understand. Caffeine-free chocolate...now that's an idea! lol Cheri RE: lifestyle changes ?? Dark chocolate doesn't count does it? It's supposed to be good for you. <grin> I'm certain it must be an exception. Guest guest
Hi Cherie I can tell you that once you stop it you never miss it. I stopped it with great difficulty.First I dropped 2 cups to one. Than for a while I had 3/4 cups a day(about 10 days or two weeks). Than I had 1/2 cup.again it took me at least a week time to be able to get used to this amount. It was really difficult. Than I had 1/4 cups for a while. And finally I was able to quit it. I did not miss it once for the last 6 years. Best wishes. Nil/7 lifestyle changes ?? While I'm waiting for my test results, I'm trying to make a list of things I will need to change once they come in. Of course, this is assuming that something is wrong with my adrenals. (i'll eat something yucky if that happens!) I know I'll need to stop caffine intake, but I'd like to know what else I need to not do or specifically do. I know I'll need to keep up with my temps. on a regular basis as well. It seems like I've read other things, but I can't remember what they were. I'm REALLY going to miss the caffine!
