This one you are taking is an ACE inhibitor. These relax the blood

vessels to lower the pressure inthem. It is a better one than a Beta

Blocker would be but if you have ANY tendency to low aldosterone it

could make it worse. I would investigate why your BPO is rising and try

to correct the cause. Are you tkaing Licorice? How much HC are you on?

Perhaps it si time to lower the steroid dose as this is also a sign of

high cortisol. Are you taking enough thyroid meds? Low thyrodi also

causes high BP.

The receptionist at doctor's looked at me and said I dom't understand how YOU

could have high blood pressure. It came on when I became hyper. I'm on 8

pelets Isocort now, and maybe when I start T3, itwillbring blood pressure down.

I'm not on licorice - tried l cap for two days and experienced high anxiety.

I'm not very up on aldosterone, so don't know ifit's high or low. How would I

check this?

The very same thing happened to me. My BP has always been great. I

raised my T3 until I became slightly hyper & my BP went very high. I

have reduced the T3 from a max of 225mcg back down to 100mcg & my BP

has remained high. I do not understand why it will not come back down

to normal. I am in the process of switching back to Armour from the T3.

Do you use sea salt Gale? I am wondering as my BP responds quite well to

adequate salt in coming down!

Sea salt corrects incorrect BP. It can alos lower HIGH BP contrary to what we

are taught.

Thank's so much for sharing about the high BP, Gale. I know the blood pressure

med is not the best solution, so will continue to work on this. Val just noted

in one post that sea salt not only raises low, but also lowers high BP, so I

will probably work up the courage and take the plunge before too long. First

need to start thyroid again as temps have been steady now for a few days.

No I do not. It has been about a month to 6 weeks since my BP went

high. I tried sea salt one time, 1/4 tsp. & it seemed to be higher a

couple of hours later. Do you think that I should have kept using it?

Maybe I did not give it enough time?

It takes several weeks for sea salt to affect BP. I would try it again

1/4 tsp twice a day.
