Guest guest
Hi All, I have tried to discuss ablation for Afib with my cardiologist but he has said several times that it would not help me. Why would he have this opinion? It seems that there are many on this list that have successfully had ablation. Are there different types of afib where ablation fixes it and would not for others? My doctor says I would need to consider the Maze procedure to cure afib. He said that some doctors are working on a less/non invasive procedure but it is still too soon to consider this. He says 10 years down the road this procedure could become standard procedure and he would recommend I do it then. Did others have this experience and still find a doc that said ablation would work for you?? Did you do the ablation and find it fixed the situation? Thanks, Michele in CA
