Guest guest
hooray' It's because you aren't clueless like all healthcare professionals I encounter. Really, I'm grateful for each one who do their best with what they know, but you've proven so well that we have to help ourselves and help each other. Guest guest
>>Congratulations, , and VERY WELL DONE! What would you say were you successful actions that contributed to this huge win?<< FIrst, upon diagnoosis I joined every Diabetes list I could find. I started reading adn soon was directed to ONE list where there is a man wiht a WONDERFUL tool to help Diabetics adjust insulin. My hero is Ron Sebol on thta list. If not for him and the labors he put into my first three months on insulin I would be floundering still. It is not a hard program to use, just hard to begin! LOL But wiht this spreadsheet program and sticking to the foods in that program which are MANY, I had ot weight everythign I ate or drank for the first 6 months and test my glucose 10-15 times a day, btu here I am safely where all Diabetics wish to be. My doctor cannot believe this. I have beeter control in a year than his pther patients do in many years an when THEY get numbers htis good they are in the ER with hypo attacks 3-4 times a year or more. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
A1c is a Diabetic monitoring test that shows a person's average glucose over a period of 2-3 months. Diabetes is diagnosed with an A1c of 7.0... which is too high if oyu ask me! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

You've gone from an average BS of 354 (terrifyingly high) to 114 (practically perfect). That is one heck of a learning curve. Good on you.
