Just wanted to add this about DHEA

It is in the 'Reference' square that is shaded in...other boxes show

1-7 and I am in the box with no number....doc said this was a good

thing and DHEA levels are good...

It shows DHEA at 8 and cortisol at 7 or 8 or so....

Thanks

Morning 34 elevated (13-24)

Noon 10 Normal (5-10)

Afternoon 3 Normal (3-8)

Midnight 4 Normal (1-4)

I would say with these levels you should try Licorice root around 1PM. I would

NOT take anything to lower the AM cortisll as it is really not that high and

should come down a bit as you get your thyroid corrected. I do nto believe the

gluten intolerance causes Hashi's or adrenal problems but that it is most liekly

caused BY adrenal imbalances. I woudl try to avoid gluten while your levels are

this far off. What did your sex hormones look like? That wopuld help clarify

your cortisol situation and how it is affecting your body.

Hi Val

Thanks for the input....so could you say overall that my adrenals

aren't doing all that bad? Am I in any stage of Adrenal Fatigue?

My Corisol Burden was 51

In terms of hormones, My DHEA was in the reference range (It is not

in any of the boxes listed 1-7)...looks like DHEA is 8 and cortisol

is 7 or 8 from the graph

My 17-OH Progesterone level was 62...range is 22-100, borderline is

101-130 and elevated is >130

I don't think any other hormone tests were done

What kind of licorice do I get? What exactly does it do?? Extend

cortisol levels to last loger through the day??

Thanks, Stefany

Between stage 3 adn stage 4. Which means the levels could drop fast at

this poitn which si why I would not try to deliberately lower the AM

levels. More of the good vitamins and thyroid thathelp support the

adrenals so that drop doesn;t happen.

Ok, yikes....between stage and 4...isn't that pretty bad??

Should I take 'Desiccated Adrenal' products? I am doing the gluten

free thing (starting today :)...do I need Isocort

How much Armour should I be taking? I am only taking 1/2 grain p day

and get really bad headaches if I take more. I have NEVER taken any

more than 1 grain of Armour p day...I felt GREAT on 1 grain of Armour

over the past year....just been the past month or 2 where I have

tanked...bad anxiety as well

Thanks, Stefany

Not bad but not good either and they are close to being at the worse stages when

cortiosl drops too low.

>>What kind of licorice do I get? What exactly does it do?? Extend

Look for Licorice that is NOT deglyzzorhized (sp) that is the ingredient that

extends the life of your own cortios. As you have plenty of cortiosl it is just

not there in the afternoons.

Hi Val and others,

I have been gluten free for over 24 hours now and

already feel better. Yesterday I felt awful at this

time and had eaten wheat toast at breakfast and had 3

pieces of pizza the night before....

So question is I bought the licorice tincture today

from healthfood store. How much do I take?

It is from 'Herb Farm' and says Root and

Stolon/Glycyrrhiza glabra

dry herb/menstruum ratio is 1:2

Says to take 30-40 drops 2-5 X per day...that sounds

like a lot to me...Any idea on how much to take and

when to take it?? Do I follow directions on bottle or

do you all have any other suggestions?

Thanks, Stefany
