Hi, Kathy. I'm in Arizona too.

I would do the Canary Club Diagnos Tech. Sounds like you have a good, open

doctor. Yes, do the test first, and address adrenals before thyroid.

Once you treat your adrenals it will help with your PTSD too.

Canary Club Testing

Hi All, I'm reading files, and trying to read through messages.

I've found a doctor who will work with me on Thryoid and Adrenal

issues. She ordered fre t-4,t-3 and tsh. She's willing to rx Armour.

We're looking at Adrenal Exhaustion as well, I need help... I'm

leaning toward the Diagnos'Techs from Canary Club since I don't need

the blood drops tests. Any comments pro or con?? Doc admits this

is a new area for her but very open to working with me.

Should I deal with Adrenal exhaustion before messing with Thyroid?

DX of PTSD and in therapy which is helping with anxiety.

I know my post is way too long, I appreciate anyone's comments.

The adrenals will help with PTSD..............????? That is

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

I'm also taking klonopin which I want off of. Doc didn't freak when I told

her I stopped taking the Zoloft. Haven't told her I've stopped the Buspar

as well.

She's young, but she's incredibly kind, and above all, she's willing to work

with me. My PCP is a pretty cool guy as well.

THANK YOU ALL for your comments.

Yes, if you look at the symptoms of adrenal fatigue and PTSD, there are many

in common. Triggers which lead to panic attacks can be lessened quite a bit

in some people, as well as overall anxiety and stress. Also the crying and

anger spells.

It might be that in PTSD the HPA axis gets thrown off and then the adrenals,

so treating helps some of the symptoms. I do know a lot of people with PTSD

have seen improvement with adrenal treatment, so they could be a nice side

benefit for you. I would love to see a large study done on war vets

suffering and if they have low adrenals and how treatment impacts them.
