Guest guest
I was feeling decent today - fair amount of energy despite not sleeping enough for past few nights, no blatant hypoT symptoms like hypo headache, muscle aches, brain fog or sore neck. At 3PM I needed a snack so I ate several handfuls of mixed nuts, raisins and a few M & Ms (trail-mix like snack) - mostly peanuts though. At 4:30 I took my third dose of 5mg of HC and ate some more nuts to have something in my stomach and walked out of the office with decent energy. Within 30 minutes, I was tired, hypo headache, left arm and hand aching, sides of neck hurting - all symptoms that I now associate with being very hypoT. Is it possible that eating too many peanuts today do that? I also had a Luna bar earlier in the day and the protein source in those is soy which is also goitrophenic (sp?)? I had an argument with my wife and MIL the nutritionist over Thanksgiving over how much of such foods one would have to eat before it makes a difference. Their opinion is that it would take eating a bucket full of tofu or similar to have an effect. After today I don't know.
