Guest guest
Your adrenals still look unstable to me. Should be within .2 degrees. And yes, having a high temp but feeling cold is something I experience too. I would increase your dosage of either Isocort or HC, whichever you have access to and keep graphing. I am taking 30 mg Isocort which I worked up to over a two month period and I take it broken down 4 times a day. I have to take it every 3 hours in early day or I get low cortisol symptoms. Night time I am pretty much fine after 6 pm. As far as quitting the Armour or not, Val would be more helpful there. Cheri Transition to Armour failed; need help re what to do now. Per Dr Peatfield's instructions, I started Armour on Sunday. Half a grain sublingually in the morning. I felt no different Sunday, felt a bit different yesterday (nervy, anxious, jumpy, with a weird pressure feeling in my head & eyes), and very much more so today. So I reckon my adrenals are still tanked. Many thanks, Rosie .

Guest guest
Sorry to butt in..I'm confused, is the right time to take temps the first 5 days of our period? Don't know what I'd have done if I hadn't found this forum yesterday, I felt so alone and scared. Guest guest
How does 5mg@8am/5mg@noon/5mg@4pm sound? There is no cortisol rythm in this doseing and most peopel do best on 4 doses a day. Though on thi low amoutn yu may not need a bedtime dose YET. I would go to 7.5 - 5 - 2.5 -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
> > Sorry to butt in..I'm confused, is the right time to take temps the > first 5 days of our period? YES. Actually you can take it from Day 1 of your cycle (the day bleeding starts) right up to the day you ovulate (which is usually but not always roundabout Day 14). This is because when you ovulate, your temperature rises & remains higher for the rest of your cycle & if you take your temperature during the luteal phase of your cycle you are not comparing like with like. The usual advice is to take it during Days 1-5 of your cycle so that you are very unlikely to be messing the info up with post-ovulatory temps. However if you know when you ovulate you can stretch that Day 1- 5 window out to include as many days after that as you know are pre- ovulatory, if that makes sense. For instance, I ovulate on Day 19. So I can take my temps on Days 1-18. I only know this stuff because I've kept charts for twelve years. Charting gives a lot of information and appeals to the anal retentive in me. And, as it turns out, makes taking temps for thyroid/adrenal purposes easier too. > Don't know what I'd have done if I hadn't found this forum yesterday, > I felt so alone and scared. We're all in the same boat feeling alone and scared so don't be afraid to ask any questions. Everybody here is caring and helpful. Though on thi low amoutn yu may not need a bedtime dose YET. I would go to 7.5 - 5 - 2.5 That's great, thank you. So 7.5 in the morning, 5 at noon, and 2.5 at 4pm-ish? That's 15mg a day. I wonder how I wil know if that is enough. I also wonder how I will know if I need a bedtime dose. In a previous thread you said you thought I needed to be on about 30mg a day.... Just to be totally clear, do you think I should resume the thyroxine? Ta, Rosie

It is listed under How to treat Adrenals. You should be graphing your temps per www.drrind.com, please read his directions and start taking temps as that is how you know when you are high enough wiht HC. >>In a previous thread you said you thought I needed to be on about 30mg a day.... Just to be totally clear, do you think I should resume the thyroxine?<< Yes, this is just one step along the way. You must raise HC slowly or you can have a thyroid dump, even when not on thyroid yet. I would not start thyroid until your temps stabilize using Dr Rind';s method I just told you about. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
