Guest guest
Still trying to increase naturethroid up from 1/2 grain in morn to 1/2 morn and 1/4 grain late afternoon while supplementing w/ isocort for level 5 adrenal exhaustion. If possible i'm trying to avoid cortef. I have hashi's and weeks ago when I raised an entire 1/2 grain to my intial 1/2 grain I crashed (extreme fatigue, depression....) So I know w/ hashi's that the dosing can be extra tricky so I decided to raise only 1/4 grain like someone in this group suggested. However I am sleeping 10 hours easily and experiencing a little fatigue during the day. This is certainly not as bad as the 1/2 grain increase where I completely crash. If I stick in there for about 2 weeks with the extra 1/4 grain is it possible my body will adjust and I wont feel that additional fatigue???? If so mabye I just will have to take extra time than average and just keep increasing by 1/4 until I reach my optimal dose or perhaps I'm in denial that I just need cortef. Any opinions/suggestions are appreciated.
Guest guest
I was in exactly the same situation and had to go to 1/8 grain increases and temps still weren't stable. I have Hashis, I'm hypo and level 5. I ended on HC and I'm up to 27.5mg and probably increasing to 30mg soon. The good news is that I have been able to increase the Armour by 3/4 of a grain over the past three weeks or so and the last increase was 1/4 and my temps didn't budge. I do have a few symptoms that indicate that the adrenals are taking a little hit so that's why I'm thinking about the increase to 30mg. I understand the reluctance to start the HC b/c I fought it myself for over two months, but Val and everyone told me that I should and it's the only way that this has worked. I have probably at least 1 1/2 grains to go. > > Still trying to increase naturethroid up from 1/2 grain in morn to 1/2 > morn and 1/4 grain late afternoon while supplementing w/ isocort for > level 5 adrenal exhaustion.
