Guest guest
High RT3 causes what we call thyroid toxicity. It makes the T4 when you take it like a poison to your body. Yiou can have high or low temps muscle pain and fatigue all the way to flu liek sympotoms if it is crushign your adrenals. I would try all T3 for at least 3 months but oyu would have to switch over slowly and build it up slowly to not crash your adrenals in the delicate state they are in. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Whats a good brand of all T3 meds??? How do you start off slowly? Like what kind of dosing? Should I wait until I get my Free t3 level tested to start this?? Thanks > High RT3 causes what we call thyroid toxicity. It makes the T4 when you > take it like a poison to your body. Guest guest
Yes, you are hypo. Especially since over " 3 " is considered hypo but it is really your free Ts that will tell the story. Wonder what your frees will show. You want to build up your adrenals first though. Isocort or HC is what I think you need to start taking and slowly ramping up. That is probably why you had problems with higher doses of Synthroid...because it trashed your adrenals more. You don't want to increase your Synthroid until you work on your adrenals or you likely will feel worse. Cheri Re: What stage? Yea, I thought I had began treatment with those supplements, but I feel even worse on them. Im going to stop taking them slowly.. I'm wondering though, if all these symptoms Im having is because Im severly hypo. Last time I had blood drawn was last month, and my TSH=3.94 (0.3-5.5) Free T4=1.6 (0.9-1.8) Total T3= 94 (60-181) I havent gotten the Free t3 yet. I'll get that done with my next set of bloodwork coming up soon. Wouldn't you say by these results that I need more thyroid meds?? I had the RAI done, so I will have to have thyroid for life! I never had a problem with dizziness when I was on a higher dose of synthroid (like 100mcg, or 125 mcg). The dizziness (adrenals Im assuming adter searching for answers and seeing the cortisol drop with the saliva test) started when I was on 25mcg for a long time!! Way too low for someone who had RAI done. WIth antibodies in my blood from the graves or hashis(whatever is was really), it would throw off all results anyway, Last month My antibodies were Anti Thryoglobin <20 (<40) Thyroid Microsoma 394 (<40) Im wondering if I could handle a stronger dose of synthroid? I dont want to try the armour when the t3 could give me heart palps and such with low cortisol at times of the day. I would never be able to ramp up to where I need to be for someone who had their thyroid nuked. Cant adrenal fatigue be caused from being on a inadequate dose of thyroid hormone for too long??? If so, then fixing the problem, by upping the dose, should help the adrenals heal...unless its the pituitary causing it...right? Let me know what you think about all this.. Thanks My docs are too stupid to try anything with me. I've got one(a PA) that doesnt have a brain and will order whatever I want him to, and the other simply wanted my money. He;s ignored the fact that the supplements made me worse. > > You treat your adrenals. The HPA axis is messed up in everyone who has > adrenal problems from what I have read. Guest guest
, I went from T4 only (42 years) to Armour. I had heart palps on T4, but not with Armour My TSH is much lower now and NO heart issues. >>> I dont want to try the armour and not be able to get where I need to be. Guest guest
> I've had heart palps with my weird spells being on the t4. Im just not sure about trying the armour knowing I have AF. with my afternoon low cortisol level that clearly showed with the saliva testing, I could end up feeling real bad. Im also waiting to get through some further testings to find out if its secondary AF or not. This all takes WAY too long for answers. THe " good " days come fewer and farther imbtween. Thanks KAtie > I went from T4 only (42 years) to Armour. Guest guest
Hi Cheri. RE: Re: What stage? You treat your adrenals. The HPA axis is messed up in everyone who has adrenal problems from what I have read. I am stage 7 primary with a messed up HPA and am taking cortisol to try to get well. Do you have addison's? nil
