It is my understanding that if you child has no other > disabilities or syndromes that can be connected to CF than it is > idiopathic. It doesn't A side note to this though. When was born, they labeled her severe club feet as ideopathic. Nobody thought to link the clubfeet to her dad's hands, which were contracted at birth and are still stiff. 's hands also looked " normal " except that she has her fathers wide nuckles and crooked thumbs. Now, we have Leah, who was also born with severe clubfeet and her hands have some ulnar deviation and the same wide knuckle to palm width as her mother and grandfather. The ortho diagnosed her with arthrogryposis, and agreed that has it too. The point I'm making is to check out all the extremities carefully, and look for signs of arthrogryposis. We've gone from believing there was little/no chance of passing on the clubfeet to our children, to a 50/50 chance. have a good week, Rob, and Leah (3.5 wks old) Graham Heartland Images Great Bend, KS http://www.heartland-images.com
