15 month post op needs help

Hi all,

I need help with a letter of appeal. I really don't know where to

start. Do any of you have an example of an appeal letter? Have any

of you had to have a revision? If so was It covered by BCBS of NC?

Can you tell me about your revision experience and its results? I

would really appreciate any information you could share with me. I

had the mgb by Rutledge MD in Durham, NC I am trying to get a

revision to the RNY by another surgeon.

I am 15 months post op. I stopped losing at 6 months post op. I am

trying to get a revision but BCBS of NC has denied my revision stating

that I did not meet medical criteria for a revision. BCBS of NC

approved and paid for my wls on 12-16-99. I was 336 pounds the day

of surgery. I am now 254 pounds, and have been since June of 2000,

5'9'', 48 y/o. I lost a total of 82 pounds which falls short of the

expected loss of 50% of one's excess weight.
