What stage do my numbers show that I am in? I see yall talking about

your stages and I'm just curious if I am even in one.

7 to 8 AM: 6 - depressed - ref val 13-24 nM

11 to Noon: 3 - depressed - ref val 5-10 nM

4 to 5 PM: 2 - depressed - ref val 3-8 nM

11 to MidN: 1 - normal - ref val 1-4 nM

Cortisol Burden: 12 - ref val 23-42

DHEA: 4 Normal - ref val 3-10 ng/ml

thanks,

I would say 4 to 5.

On your test results (if you got them from Canary Club...Diagnos Tech),

there should be a chart on the right side that shows a graph and has a

little square correlating to your numbers with a number beside it. That

tells you what stage you are at...3 or 4 or 5..etc. Mine said " 7 " .

Cheri,

Mine came from Diagnos Tech. I am looking at it now. I think I get

it, there is a black box that is sitting just below the dotted line

of the reference box and above the 4 on the bottom line. There is a 5

in the upper right hand of the rectangle that the black box is in. So

I guess that means I am in stage 5. Damn, I can be so dumb!! But, the

way those boxes are numbered doesn't make any sense or follow any

logical pattern so maybe that's how I missed it.

Thanks,

Rosie-

On my test results, it doesnt put in in a box with any number, its

closest to box 4 or or 5, but its not in a box that has a nuber, its

in a box that has no number.

Hmmm...

I've had a look at the graph, and my guess is you're in the reference

range:

http://www.chronicfatigue.org/ASI%205.html

The other area that is close to 4 & 5 is 7, and I seriously hope you're

not there.

However, my confidence in this chart has just taken a knock because my

latest results put me in the ref range and I KNOW I'm not well enough

for that.

Forgive me if you've answered this already, but whereabouts do you

think you are now? And what has been your treatment plan?

(I need to learn so much more about this stuff. I'll shortly start a

new thread about my failure with Armour; I think my adrenals are still

too weak).

I am sure I am still at stage 7 and probably will be for life. I am on 30 mg

Isocort but will likely be going to HC cream as I think I need something

stronger.

Before that I was taking herbs and adrenal glandulars.

Hi Cheri

Are you able to run a normal life with 30 mg isocort? No need to rest during the

day?

Well, my life has been pretty abnormal for awhile so I am not sure, lol.

When I first started, I needed to take a nap. Either around 12 noon or 2 pm.

I would get crashes. Those are times my cortisol is at the lowest. When I

increased my dosage, I didn't need the naps. however, I noticed when I took

my Milk Thistle which contains licorice and my kelp for iodine, I would get

tired and need to nap. So, I stopped taking those temporarily and now need

no more naps. Usually when I did need a nap it was only for about 30 min.

I am going to re-introduce the kelp now that I am at a higher dose, but do

it later in the day when my cortisol is normal. See how that impacts me.

The only thing that I still have issues with is getting up at 5 am (even

though that is an improvement for me). This past week I have been getting up

at 3 am and cannot get back to bed, but I think that is due to the period

coming on and am wondering if I should add a bit more 2.5 mg just for this

week. I am kind of just taking it day by day because my period always throws

it off...another indication I still have a ways to go. From what Val says,

at my stage I really should be on HC. I bought the creams and want to start

swapping out doses from Isocort to HC. Plus it will be cheaper too if my

body tolerates it.

Other than that I guess I am pretty normal since I can get stuff done and do

errands. When I have to go back to work will be the real test though. I have

taken a couple of months off, have stopped all my charity work, and have

even turned down all the holiday party invites and travel for the time being

to focus on my health so not sure if I added all the stuff back in how I

would be doing.
