Guest guest
Hi, I just got back from my 3 week appointment with Delphine in Dr. Rabkin's office. So the official weight loss is, ta-daa, 47 lbs.! Of course I did have a head start with the removal of the basketball sized tumor with the same operation, but hey, still not too shabby. I'm feeling pretty good. No more pain from my 18 inch incision. The only real problem I had post-op was gas, and Beano seemed to help a lot. My stomach feels more normal every day. I do take Pepcid twice a day to keep the acid down, but that is improving every day too. No nausea, no vomiting, no diarrhea. I take acidolphilus everyday. I have a disability policy, so I plan on taking 6 weeks off of work to maximize my recovery. I am truly thankful that my recovery has been so uneventful so far. My heart goes out for those with ongoing complications and I hope that they resolve soon so they can start feeling better. I also want to express my thanks to those with problems and regrets for sharing their stories with us. You shouldn't hold back, we need to know what the possible risks are for the surgery so as to make sure this is what we really want to do and to be prepared for such possible complications.
