is home from the hospital - yikes....poor baby looks awful! His face is all banged up and bruised, they had to shave his head for the stitches, he has huge....and I mean huge bruises and cuts all over his little body - tummy, legs, back....breaks your heart to look at him.

He is in pretty good spirits tho and has definitely decided that driving just not for him. I asked him what happened...and why he took the car like he did.

He said he just wanted to drive...sigh...he said he was doing very good and going back home and then something went wrong with a tire or the front end ...he isn't quite sure what it was, but he said he had no control of the car at all, couldn't steer it or anything...... he said it all happened so fast. The car started swerving and it felt like he was going downhill (there is no hill on our road, so he must've been airborne by this time) he said the next thing he knew he felt big bumps and bangs and he was trying to get out of the car. He doesn't remember screaming or crying or even getting out of the car. He doesn't remember his uncle being there, he doesn't remember his mom being there....none of it. Probably a good thing because I'm sure there was a lot of pain by that time. He said he vaguely remembers the helicopter and a lot of dust.....then he was in the hospital waking up and his mom was there.

Mom just looks very, very tired - I'm sure she didn't get much sleep. No word yet on any of the charges. I did talk with the land owners across the street while they were working on putting up a new fence, and they are very nice, very understanding people. They were relieved to hear that was ok and said fences can be replaced, but little lives can't be.

I'm so grateful for all the continued prayers for this family.
