Guest guest
Hi everyone, Well, just when you wonder what afib can throw at you next here it is.....After watching the weather map and seeing a cyclone forming of the coast and the swell increasing, turning to perfect point waves I went to check the surf - got excited about the prospect of surfing those perfect waves then.....WHOOMPA, no excitement for you girl or the whooshka, whooshka boom boom will strike. Couldn't believe it just looking at the surf pushed me over the edge. Next day back in NSR thought, today is the day I am going out no matter what, nasty afib not going to keep me from enjoying this long awaited swell. Start to paddle out, whooshka, its ok keep going, boom, boom, get out the back and just rest for a while, I say to myself....finally out the back, oops, really fibbing now, other surfers notice my face is livid red and my eyes are bugging out (never had that before!)-funny they noticed cause that's how they felt.Oh boy, now having trouble breathing, surely the animals are going to escape from my chest and trample me to death.Dizzy, thump, thump- better get back to the beach. Make it in to shore, lay on beach fibbing, dizzy, disillusioned - afib wins! This thing really sucks (excuse the language but no other word quite expresses it).On the up side saw my Dr yesterday and he had now recommended ablation - yippeee. Put me on that table and bring it on. Cheers 300mg flecainide(obviously not working)
