Guest guest
I did this job at the last census. fee then £250.00 plus expenses. It did require you storing around 250 census forms and leaflets. Last time I had to do at least 3 visits, 1 to drop leaflets to notify everyone, 1 to deliver the forms and 1 to collect. You might also be required to complete forms on behalf of the householders, elderly, illiterate etc. I was very interesting, but it was time consuming as well. Colin ended up taking time off work to look after the children so I could finish collecting the forms! I've just applied for and thought you might be interested to know that local councils have vacancies to employ people to work during the census, due to take place in April. The training and work covers about 8 weeks from mid March to mid May and can be fitted in with a full time job. The pay (in Scotland) is £370 plus expenses and also extra for any following up you have to do. Job Centres should have the application forms.
