Guest guest
Thank you so much everyone for talking me through all this garbage. I am still going to try this doctors suggestions, but I am not at all impressed that he didn't talk at all about how often hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia are so closely related. So, while I am trying his suggestions, I am also shopping for my next doctor. When I spoke with an osteopath at another medical facility, he said he felt I was right about hypothyroidism - and he suggested 2 internists at his sister facility for me to see - he felt they were very good with hypothyroidism. When I went to look them up, I think I prefer one over the other - but I " d like your thoughts. Please? The first one says in his comments on his page that he likes to work with chronically ill patients - well - isn't that me in a sense? He is Dr. Gajic ... his page is here: http://www.synergyhealth.org/body.cfm?id=12 & action=detail & ref=115 The second is Dr. Mosely, but I don't see anything that sways me one way or the other in his page: http://www.synergyhealth.org/body.cfm?id=12 & action=detail & ref=79 Any suggestions? I have been reading more about this fibro crap - and more about hypothyroidism and I'm getting angrier all the time. I'm reading that fibromyalgia patients also have a problem with sensitivity to drugs and other things - so do I. In fact, my doctor had a chat with me telling me not to get it into my head to be so afraid of meds because I'll talk myself into being allergic to everything. I'm sorta ticked at that. When I'm given a new med and I know I have to take it, I'll taste it first - then wait - then take a little more - then wait. I thnk that is reasonable given my allergic history. I did take some meds in the last couple years that I was NOT allergic to - so I'm kinda ticked he thinks I might be making up this sensitivity crap. Now I " m getting less confused and feeling more angry. I'm not an idiot. THank you for helping me see that. Hugs all, -Lynn
