Hi there.

It's been a while since I've posted, not sure if you

all remember me. I am Jess the daughter of Larry and

J. A lot has been going on lately. My father

is really ill. He's sleeping almost all day any more

and he can barely eat. His pain is constantly very

high on the 1-10 scale. So much more is happening

but I dont have the energy to go further into it. I

know you all understand. We are also dealing with his

sister being in Hospice care. There is nothing more

they can do for her. The mito has completely consumed

her and they are trying to get her thru the holidays

at least.

As for me, I definitely have mito. They are working

on my discharge from the Coast Guard, yes, that is

still in the process. It's now been over a year and a

half. It should be soon but we'll see.

I hope this finds you all in the best health as

possible.

Hi Jess,

I'm very glad you decided to drop us a line as I had been wondering what had happened to all of you. It sounds like things have gone downhill for your family and I'm very sad to read that. Your Dad must be having a very rough time. I wish there was some kind of miracle cure that would come along and help him over the pain and difficulties he's experiencing. Please be sure to tell him that I said hello when you can. It's also very sad to read about your aunt. These things are difficult to deal with at any time of year, but over the holidays it always seems so much harder.

I'm glad you are finally getting your medical discharge as we all know that keeping up with the rigors of the military and dealing with mito would be like mixing oil and water. Am I right in assuming that the military hospital got your diagnosis? If so, that might be a first. I hope your discharge comes thru very soon. You've been waiting long enough.

Although your news was not good, we really are interested in knowing where you all are. I hope we hear from you again soon and in the meantime, please take care of yourself. We're always here when you need us.
