I called my GP this morning to book an appointment for my boys for

there wellness check ups..hard to believe my baby's are going to be

9 soon.

I am so happy cause the regular receptionist is back..she has been

on Maternity leave for the last year. So I got her to pull my file

and tell me if the ENDO sent the biopsy report to the GP as the ENDO

never did do any follow up with me.

Now I do not have any nodules so the ENDO did three biopsies on the

thyroid itself.. benign although Cancer was not my worry..but no

lymphocyte infiltration meaning I do not have Hashimoto's.

My TPO count in October last year was 34 ( 0-35) now TPO is

considered a measurement of inflammation as well as

Hashimoto's..except in Hashimoto's TPO is seen in the 100's so much

higher.

My understanding is that a biopsy is the only way to actually

confirm Hashimoto's and the biopsy says I do not have Hashimoto's.

So where I am at..

Goiter..diffuse, large.

TRAB 5 ( <5 neg,>15 positive) although TSI is more accurate it is

not available for labatory testing.

TPO 34 ( 0-35) Hashimoto's ruled out by biopsy.

TSH 0.92..this bugs me..regardless how I feel or what my Free's do

it has always been 0.92.

Free T4..slowly climbing 17, 18, 19..( range 9-20)

Free T3..do not have numbers, not tested as regular but tested..high

normal end of the range..

Total cholesterol 1.5 ( 2-4.5)

Fasting Glucose 3.8, 4.3 ( 4-7) Non reactive hypogylcemia..

Other tests include complete WCB, RBC etc..all well within normal

ranges except WCB which is a little high but only the inflammation

markers.

Iodine levels..although ENDO ordered them , no labs run the tests,

it is considered obsolete and they have not run them for over 10

years ( government funded labs, no private labs available due to

government regulations).

Symptoms

Large diffuse goiter, sometimes causes sharp pains in the neck.

No moons on nails except small ones on the thumbs, adverse reactions

to excessive iodine.

Itchy, some times with rash, sometimes without, sort of comes and

goes.

Irregular very short menstrual cycles.

Hair and nails grow like crazy but weaker not as healthy. Summer is

going to suck as I have to shave every day it grows so quick..

Sweats, shakes, resting pulse is over 100, mental function is all

over the place, forgetting things..jumping at 20 things at once and

not finnishing the first thing. Irritated more often..bored..need

stimulation. Muscles in upper thighs and shoulders are weak but only

if I do stairs or lift things above my head. Feel like I could run a

marathon some days but the inside energy is higher than the physical

energy.

Hungry, hungry hungry and this is where my iritation levels come

in..if I need to eat.

Other health problems.

Allergies, allergies, allergies.. no food allergies..

Sulpha, Sulphites, pennicillin, Biaxin, Erythomycin, Codiene, ASA,

PTU, yellow food dye, chlorine, MSG , perfume( floral, but not real

flowers),sayacilic acid..molds.

Medications

B-complex although I have switched to Redoxon-B as it is an

effervescent tablet as big pills have become harder to swallow.

Reactine as needed for allergies, Benadryl as needed for allergies..

I do carry an EPI-PEN but have not had to use it as the combination

Benadryl, Reactine together seem to bring the swelling down and have

only received the shots at the clinic.

Personal info..

36,,female..not perimenipausal.

5'6 " ..135 lbs..medium build..wieght was 113 for the longest time and

it took 4 years of increasing calories, Flu shots etc to get it up

to 135lbs.

Can not remember the last time I got a cold or Flu but with the Flu

I can drop wieght instantly.

Diet.. I am on the See food diet..I see food I eat it..try very hard

to stay away from processed due to allergies btu some days I think

all I do do is eat.

Physical exercise.. no set type program or gym..I have 3 boys I help

with sports with, ride scooters, bikes etc.. walk to and from

school, housework, no car so I walk everywhere..work is on my feet

and wearing a pedometer figured averaged about 3 1/2 kms at work

during an 8 hour shift.

This is all I can think of...figured I would give too much info so

if any one has any ideas??

I know my GP will run what ever test I ask and will redo the

basics.. but for now I am subclincal hyper with a diffuse goiter of

no known origin or cause who tends to swing back and forth between

hyper and normal..
