Hi Roy,

I dont take LDN, but I do take Neurotin, Baclofen, Provigil, and started on the

medical marijuanna.

I am sorry that you had to be diagnosed with probable PLS.

You have found a great group here at PLS friends, you will find all sorts of

information, and excellent support.

Around 7 years ago I was diagnosed with M.S. I did the shots and even chemo for

M.S patients. My Neuro couldnt figure out why I kept getting worse, so she sent

me to a specialist, come to find out I dont have M.S after 61/2 years. In 2003 I

was told I have PLS.

Please feel free to ask any questions and we will all try to help you out with

some kind of an ansewer.

LDN dosage???

Hello everyone,

I was recently diagnosed with possible PLS. Last night I started

taking 5 mg of LDN, I also take Neurotin and Baclofin. Unfortunately,

I was unable to sleep at all last night and this morning I felt like

my my syptoms were worse.

I have chronic spasticity and was hoping LDN would help. Has anybody

had a similar experience? Also, what type of dosage did you start

with. I was concerned that 5 mg could be too much.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Roy

Hi Roy,

5 mg is a high dose to take, let alone start on. Most people take 3.0

mg or 4.5 mg, with some having even dropped back to 1.5 mg to negate the

stiffness. Most start at 3.0 mg and increase it to 4.5 mg only if 3.0

mg doesn't make them too stiff. If you already have chronic spasticity

as tends to be the case with PLS then I suggest dropping back to 3.0 mg

or even 2.5 mg and see how that goes for a few weeks, especially given

that 5.0 mg is also making it difficult to sleep. I am on 3.0 mg and

found it a bit harder to sleep the first night or two but then OK. It

also increased my stiffness for about 5 weeks but now I only have about

as much stiffness as before starting LDN, sometimes even less.

Hi Roy,

I'am not taking LDN but for the past 3 yrs have taken some kind of benzo

such as diazapam, atavin, or klonopin with the baclofen and it seems to

help the spasisity.

Hey, all that info was free!!!

Hope you get better results from something.

Cheers to you,

Hi Roy,

Welcome aboard our PLS ship called, " waiting for the cure. " I don't take

baclofen or neurontin though I did in the past and had bad experiences with

both. I'm on LDN it's a bout my 20th day and so far the only positive thing

I've experienced is less urinary urgency. I'm on 3.0 and have to get back to

the doctor who prescribed it when I'm finished, so..., so far that is my story.

Hope this helps. See you around the PLS strip.

God Bless

Yolanda
