Guest guest
I want to thank everyone today who took the time to help and support me. I think I learned something very important today that I didn't realize before. I used to think that the most important reason to know if I'm hypo and to take thyroid hormone was just so I could feel better than I do just treating my adrenal insufficiency. I think though that today I learned that if I am HypoT and I treat it, that there is even a chance that my adrenals could eventually heal. I never knew this before and I figure this must mean that if I am hypoT, then it makes my adrenal glands have to work harder; is that right? So I guess to take the higher dose for awhile and be able to tolerate thyroid would be an important factor in ever healing my adrenals (which are in bad shape) I always thought the opposite was true/that taking thyroid will worsen adrenals because of what happened to me in 2005 when I first tried to take thyroid by a doctor who decided to treat me for 's, and just 3 days of this timed release T3 made me very hyper (heart racing) and turned my adrenal fatigue into frank adrenal insufficiency. This is what I have believed up to now.

Adrenals literally can't heal until you get the thyroid corrected, and the thyroid can't be corrected until you have enough cortisol. It is a double edged sword! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thanks Val, I get it now. Maybe that's also why my adrenals got worse after 2 years on the HC instead of better. Thyroid hormone has just been so scary for me because of the way I have reacted to it. What do you think the best thyroid treatment for me would be? Armour, T3, what? How long should I be on 30 mgs. Also, how long should I be on 30 mgs. HC before I try the thyroid again? I'd rather be instructed than to do the temp stuff. That's always confusing for me but if I have to do it I will. Guest guest
Val, Did you need HC when you took synthroid? Were you able to tolerate thyroid hormone without HC? If so, how much?
