But I have pretty much had to stay on it all the time to keep my face cleared up. I have heard it can be either vitamin A deficiency or hormones also. Dawn I too have acne (i am pre-op however) and I find that the combination of doxycyline with a prescription cream called "differin" works wonders. I wonder if I'll ever get past puberty!!!!
