Guest guest
This is an interesting discussion. I can't say I am resolutely decided which is right or wrong. I say if something works and you like it - stick with it. Heaven knows how we all react so differently to things. I know that some years ago when a doc couldn't figure out why I was losing my voice all the time, and it was rough as gravel when it would work, he grasped at straws and said let's try nexium, I bet it is acid reflux causing your voice problems. While I did get some acid reflux, it still seemed a little weird, but I tried it. I was neither excited nor disgusted by the drug. I don't think I had as much acid reflux, but I did get light stomach pains and a bit of the runs from the stuff. So - sort of a mixed result for me. I went off it without his approval and then followed the advice of a plain nurse who said, have you tried chamomile tea? It worked like a charm as long as I would have a cup every night. I then discovered that peppermint is more convenient (carry candy in your purse - try that with a cuppa tea) and is stronger in its stomach work. Settles a nauseated tummy, keeps it from spasming so much when you are having an irritable bowel episode and keeps the heartburn from coming at all, period. So - that's what works for me. If the other stuff works for you guys, I won't tell you to stop. Do what works and forget the rest. -Lynn > > > > Hi Tammy > > > > If you could eliminate the need for antacids and at the same > time, improve your physical condition, wouldnt you consider it? > >
