Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a question and I know you'll all tell me to take my time but I am getting a little discouraged. I had my LAP RNY on 11/11/02. It's now 12 days and I've only lost 3 pounds. Now I lost 34 pounds in the two months prior to surgery and my husband says my body is still getting over the surgery and the initial weight loss. My Doctor has me on liquids only for two weeks. So that's soups, shakes, jello. I'm writing everything down, counting calories and no sugar , of course. I can't figure out how I could NOT be losing more weight when I'm walking 30 minutes a day and my calories are around 600 - 800 a day. I'm making good nutritous soups and my vitamins are up and I feel great but I can't figure out why I'm not dropping more weight. I keep telling myself just keep doing what's right and it will come . And of course not to compare myself with anyone else but after reading about Irma and her 23 pound loss in 14 days I'm just so perplexed. I thought it really really fell off the first few weeks. Did anyone else get off to such a slow start? Thank you for all your great input. Alice LAP RNY 11/11/02 310/276/273/127 Castroville, Ca.
