Guest guest
OK, Funky, er, Dave -- send me all your doorstops! Cheers! Sharon Re: Hair Falling Out My uncle eats it, too. Guess that makes at least 2 people who actually eat it! LOL! Years ago there was a comic strip called Funky Winkerbean, and the school band in the strip sold fruitcake as fund-raiser, telling people that fruitcake makes excellent stuffing for all the band turkeys sold at Thanksgiving. Personally, I thought they made great door stops! Dave (Jeanne's DH) ps: Mom, I'm toned down, but not gone! To Subscribe to 's weekly FREE Newsletter send an email to GBCookbook-subscribe@... Guest guest
And I don't know what to do anymore. My hair really looks like crap and falling out a lot, so much so that I am starting to see it really thinning on the top. I'm so disgusted ... I've started to wean down off of the HC and not sure if that may be the problem and I should go back up to 10 / 7.5 / 5 / 2.5? I've been on 7.5 / 7.5 / 5 / 2.5 for about 3 or 4 weeks (I can't remember exactly but when I went down to this amount I said to myself that I was going to hold it this way longer than my other drop. My hives disappeared so the hair falling out is my only symptom (although the hives have started to come back this morning, not real bad though). I also lowered my Armour from 2 grains down to 1 1/2 grains as usually when my hair starts falling out that is the problem. So far nothing is working and it seems to be getting worse. My temps have not risen, still bascially the same, average is 97.6 / 97.7 range. Any suggestions? Thanks! Dana G
Guest guest
Dana I bet your thyroid is too low, and if you have to lower it to be able to tolerate the lower HC dose, then the HC is too low. You should also gt Ferritin tested as it can drop and that can cause hair loss as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Well, I am in the same boat but I was losing bad before any cortisol supplementation. Do you know if you have Rt3 buildup? I have conversion issues from T4 to T3 and I am thinking my extreme hair loss is related to that. I am hoping taking T3 (if my adrenals can tolerate it) will help. When did your hair loss start? After raising Armour or raising HC? Neither? Both? Or are you not sure? Cheri Hair Falling Out And I don't know what to do anymore. Guest guest
I believe so. I've been on 30 mg of HC and started getting hives really bad again, hair was falling out, etc. I wrote in and we decided to start lowering the HC. I originally was dosing 10 / 10 / 5 / 5. Then lowered to 10 / 7.5 / 5 / 2.5 then currently 7.5 / 7.5 / 5 / 2.5 I've never been able to tolerate more than 3 grains of Armour and have slowly lowered this too. The hair just never stopped falling out so lowered Armour to 1 1/2 grains, but nothing changed, except I am feeling tired these days which was my clue that I am going more hypo if that is possible. So this is where I am now. That is when I thought maybe I should raise the HC back up slowly and see if maybe I just wasn't ready to go real low on the HC? Dana G > > >>Thanks Val! Probabyl wiht thyroid too. but raise the HC first then let it level out before raising the thyroid again. Once on that dose oyu shoudl get thyroid labs done to see where you are. I would suggest an RT3 test as well as that can cause you to not be able to tolerate enough thyroid too. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
