Guest guest
Hi , this is getting confusing for others on here, 2 s lol. I had folicular cancer of thyroid in 1990. I was having other problems. was in a gyny clinic about bad periods, it was a malaysian dr who saw i had a lump in throat. refered me the drs didn't know it was cancer took out right side. I was a divorced single parent then and was told alone i had cancer. no support group then. thats why i formed one, I met and married a year after cancer and my late husband helped me with thyroid group. I had radioactive iodine and lump came back on other side so had that taken out too. found i had thyroid problems since childhood never diagnosed. felt cold. tremors told i was nervous, slow at school work. failed exams. very thin. put on 3 stone when thyroid removed. that's why i like helping people now have so much knowledge from way back. Also affected my fertility. won't go into that too long. In thyroid cancer your TSH has to be fully suppressed it's a cancer marker. but some drs go by blood test not the way you feel. .
