Guest guest
I've been taking 4x seriphos to get nighttime cortisol down, but still feel anxious, nervous, and unrefreshing (or no) sleep. Could seriphos be making cortisol too low? That is the only supplement I take at night and still can't sleep. I don't know what else can be causing this feeling of constant adrenaline. Even ambien does not work!! Thanks, Dan

Guest guest
> Are you taking anything for cortiosl during the day? How are your daytime levels? Saliva test showed high cortisol noon-to-night, so I take 2x seriphos at noon, 2x at 4pm, and 4x at bedtime: 11:00 - Noon 23 Elevated 5-10 nM 04:00 - 05:00 PM 10 Elevated 3-8 nM 11:00 - Midnight 12 Elevated 1-4 nM I am wondering if the test could be wrong though, because the week before testing I was taking isocort + some HC cream because I *thought* I had low cortisol. I've found saliva tests to be fairly inaccurate anyhow.
Guest guest
Taking anything wiht cortisol in it within two weeks of the test can definitely skew it. I would lower your night time seriphos to see if that helps. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
This is a guess, but I am wondering if you really aren't low in cortisol and the Seriphos is making you worse? You describe an adrenaline rush, and that happens with low cortisol. And since you were taking isocort and HC cream, your test results cannot be relied upon. Maybe get off everything and retest in 2 weeks? I only get adrenaline rushes when my cortisol is low. Guest guest
I have the same problem at stage 7. I cannot stop adrenal support for 14 days or I would be in the hospital in an ian crisis. Some of us just can't be off to test and have to do the best we can. My last saliva actually did show pretty accurate results, even though I was on glandulars and cream. I think at stage 7 we will probably show th fatigue even on it cortisol because we are so bad. I don't know for sure though. Unfortunately,I got the instructions but could not manage to take samples due to exhaustion problems at that time. So,I can not say much about this but they have been working with adrenal exhausted persons for many years and I respect their work. But Val.. Think of a person who is stage 7 and taking 30 mg HC.In how many days this person is going to quit the HC by decreasing it slowly and will he be able to handle this? For example: for me. It is just impossible to stop taking isocort. 5 mg decrease shakes me up severely. That means I will never be able to take asi test. bw Nil . You are right many people cannot go off meds to test adrneal levels that is why we use other methods of checking such as temp graphing, BP testing and glucose meters to make sure it is not too high. But any place that says these tests are accuratre and can even be interpreted i do nto believe as I just have not seen it. They are wasting your money. Which was my point, buti am open to learning.. I woudl LOVE to finsd an accurate way to test cortisol levels whiel ON Isocort or HC. Guest guest
Seriphos had always made same effect to me. In addition to being anxious, nervous there is another effect that I don't like about it. It stops my mind.I feel very frustrated because of this. That is why I have always searched for other adaptogens.I started at stage low 4. I am now 7. bw Nil Can seriphos push cortisol too low?
