Lower BPs

While staying with the in-laws this weekend I've been taking my BP

with MIL's BP monitor and they've been lower than they usually are

for me, including HR. I just took one and it was 103/69, HR 73. I

know that that is good, but my " normal " BPs for the past several

years, whenever I have had them taken, are around 120/80, HR around

80. Yesterday I took one lying flat on the floor and then another

right afterwards standing up and my HR went up so much that I took a

third sitting down to see what would happen. Those were

Lying down: 119/69, HR 74

Standing: 108/72, HR 95

Sitting: 113/68, HR 83

Sam was asking me about my aldosterone and renin labs today in

response to something that I posted on the Thyroid group about having

a tough time increasing Armour and it reminded me that my aldosterone

is sort of low and that there is some kind of connection btw that and

BPs, and that my BP should rise when I take it after lying down.

Sorry if this is disjointed, but I'm trying to put together the

pieces of what I have read in other posts.

Here are the relevant labs:

RENIN 3.9 ng/mLlhr <> REFERENCE INTERVAL: Renin Activity Adult, Normal

sodium diet: Supine 0.2-1.6 ng/mLlhr Upright 0.5-4.0 ng/mLlhr.

ALDOSTERONE 9.1 ngidL <> REFERENCE INTERVALS: Aldosterone, Serum

Reference intervals for age 15 and older:

Upright 4.0 -3 1.0 ng/dL

Supine 16.0 ng/dL or less

Unspecified 31.0 ng/dL or less

I think that what Sam was getting at is that I might need to be on

Florinef, or take a lot more sea salt which I have been trying to do,

but if I take it 1/2tsp at a time it makes me swell.
