Guest guest
I saw my EP this week. After the EKG, he asked whether I thought I was in AFib. My heart was pounding moderately, I said yes, and he answered that I was not. He added that it is not an uncommon situation when people feel their heart pounding. Sometimes my heart is pounding really hard such that I cannot miss it but wonder whether I am really in AFib. Other times, when it is not pounding as hard, I no longer know. Checking my pulse seems meaningless as it does not necessarily reflect my heart beat. What is your experience? How do you know for sure? Is there an affordable device that would let me know? Thanks! Guest guest
Thank you Rich and Toni, I discover that many heart monitors exists as sports tools, so I will look into them. I will wok at recognizing my pulse. Occasionally it seems like it is skipping a beat, but what I feel most are stronger beats than others, like more blood is come through. Thanks again, Francoise
