Prednisone & side effect of UTI?

Is a urinary tract infection a side effect of Prednisone or coming off of

Prednisone? I was on it for a week, and two days after I came off of it I

discovered I have a urine infection. The nurse at my doctor's office didn't

know, and I thought I'd ask the list.

Pred does shut down your immune system somewhat, so you are more open to

infections while on it.
