I just talked to my case worker with my insurance company this week. I was allowed on consultation with Dr Peltier and the insurance denied it, so she fixed that. I told her that Dr. Peltier wanted to see me again in March. I also told her about my last appt. with the MDA doctor in my network. She told me she feels that I should be going to Milwaukee, but of course, hers isn't the final say. She will start working on the doctors in the insurance company in February to get them to pay for my visit. I will have the tests done back here. The only problem is that my local neuro doesn't feel like doing the tests she recommends! I think I will be calling her and asking her about this . . . !!! :-) Thanks, Dawn!

Keep on fighting your insurance company. Maybe you could go see Dr. Peltier before the battle with the insurance company is over. If she wants to order tests, I am sure she would be willing to communicate with your local MDA doctor. That dr. could order the tests at home and the results could be sent to Dr. Peltier. If your insurance refuses to cover her, the n you would only be stuck paying the office visit. Her office visits seem to be reasonably priced. This way you do not have to prolong getting proper treatment.Good luck to you!Dawn
