RE: thanksgiving favorites

Pre-op AND post-op - green bean casserole. I like turkey and stuffing and

all the other stuff, but I LOVE green bean casserole. I ate it at my

first

Thanksgiving after surgery (about 8 weeks post-op). It's great for soft

diets because it's cooked until everything's mushy.

Dear

Most fine restaurants have an a la carte` menu. You can choose items

that are priced separately instead of an entire meal. Happy Thanksgiving and

take care!

Dear Deb in NE,

Sure! Hook up with and Terri (TX) and you can say grace!

::tickle::

field ham is Virginia delicacy! It's really, REALLY salty and

has a distinct flavor but I absolutely LOVE it. There is nothing like a

fresh, buttermilk biscuit, slathered in butter with a slice of field ham

tucked inside! To die for. Add homemade fried apples on the side and you'd

have the meal I'd ask for if I could only choose one more, here on earth.

" Genuine field hams [are those] cut from the carcasses of peanut-fed

hogs, raised in the peanut-belt of the State of Virginia or the State of

North Carolina, and which are cured, treated, smoked, and processed in the

town of field, in the State of Virginia. "

1926 Statute passed by General Assembly of Virginia

>>stuffed ham and fried oysters ()

My sister Cheryl made a stuffed ham for Christmas one year. I think it had

too much cloves? cabbage? or something I didn't like. I'm not sure.

Fried oysters are one of my absolute favorites which is strange considering I

only started liking oysters around 7 years ago.

Love,

Trace
