Guest guest
I am looking in to the Tomatis Method for our non-verbal son. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with this method. It consists of auditory stimulation which assists and accelerates the development of listening skills, language and communication. They seem to have good results with autistic children. Guest guest
, Last summer my daughter had a two-week course of Berard-type auditory integration training. She has been diagnosed with CAPD. I believe it was highly beneficial for her. She has improved dramatically both academically and socially since then. I saw changes right away. You can find information at www.sait.org > I am looking in to the Tomatis Method for our non-verbal son. I would > like to know if anyone has any experience with this method. Guest guest
did 110 hours of Tomatis. We had very good results from it. The first thing was when she went from Stage 3 Baby food (at age 3 1/2) to be able to eat a table foods within the first 1 1/2 weeks of the therapy. Her eye contact, appearing deaf (though her hearing is fine), etc. all improved. She became so much more aware and we had some clear sentences pop out like, " I love you " and " Good Morning " . Her language has always been inconsistant and mainly just single words when she does. We did follow with Samonas for 15 weeks after finishing with Tomatis. I'll include some links on Tomatis below: Today Show Segment on Tomatis Method Segment from the Today Show in QuickTime or Real Player Video.
