Back attcha!! Happy 2005!

MY *BBB's*, as the result of six unsuccessful Cardioversions five (5) years ago,

and once considered *Badly Burned Boobs*, are now known as *Beautiful, Blessed &

Busy*. It has been another beautiful, blessed and busy Afib free (well almost)

year!

The Holidays include three beautiful daughters, three blessed sons-in-law, nine

very busy grandchildren ranging in age sixteen (16) to four (4) year old twin

boys, and seven very very busy (7) grand-dogs.

In addition to my supportive loving family, I am lucky to be part of a wonderful

Community with good neighbors/friends. We have a 10,000 sq ft Clubhouse ~~~ and

the year 2004 included the beginning of several successful programs - Texas Hold

'em (Poker Night), Movie Night, Stitch n'B*tch, Waltz Evening ~~~ and in

February, we will be celebrating our second Bunco year with approximately 40

Bunco members. I got Poker Night off the ground relatively easy - the guys just

flocked into the Clubhouse. Movie Night in the Clubhouse Loft brought out the

kids for another enjoyable evening. Although I don't consider myself a teacher

by any stretch of the imagination, I'm patting myself on the back - cause I

taught several young ladies how to knit for the very first time in the Stitch

n'B*tch class - fifteen (15) of the cutest hats were made for Christmas

presents. Waltz Evening speaks for itself. But my busiest project this year

was the establishment of a Dog Park. Its a 50x150 fenced in area where we can

take our dogs to play off leash. Its absolutely wonderful. I collected almost

$5,000 in memory of a dear neighbor who passed away in January 2004, and in

August we had the Grand Opening of the Elmathompson Park. The local paper ran a

really nice article and I was a celebrity for a day.

I also volunteer to work in the Clubhouse office, and have been instrumental in

having a Pot Luck Supper, a New Neighbor Brunch, and couple of Swim Team Fund

Raisers (my grandsons are on the Swim Team).

Once again, when I look back over the year 2004, I can't imagine that I thought

I was on deaths doorstep in the year 2000. There were months after I started

Dofetilide that I worried about just how long it would keep Afib under control,

and I remember Bobby and assuring me that it could be effective for years

~~~~~and they were right! My BBB life is beautiful, blessed and very busy!
So ~~~ for all our members who are going through what I went through in 2000 -
have hope for the new year! There is a life after Afib and with Afib!
