Guest guest
, did you have any cortisol labs done? Because if your cortisol is low and you're not on any adrenal support, you could have a bad reaction to the Armour. But let's pretend your cortisol is okay. I certainly wouldn't take 3 pills at once in the morning. The T3 in Armour tends to be 90% gone after 4 hours, so if you were to take 3 pills/day, I would spread it out like breakfast, afternoon, and bedtime. Two pills would be breakfast and dinner, etc. Palpitations would be one way to know you've overdosed. Taking your temperature daily would also give you an idea when you've overshot. When your daily average temperature exceeds 98.6, then you know you're taking too much Armour. You'd feel hot and your blood pressure and temperature would be up and you wouldn't feel too good. Also, when on Armour, your TSH will naturally be suppressed and should be below 0.5. Most people who are optimal have a TSH BELOW that. Guest guest
Thanks Jim,,Barb. I HAVE NOT had cortisol labs done,in fact NO labs done. She has got a list of blood work to do,so Im wondering if I can add cortisol to the list. I have been taking stuff to get my adrenals up because when I first looked into this,i learnt that being hypo means low adrenals. The eye/pupil thing freaked me out,so i did start with good salt and a few other things. ,what are some basic stuff for adrenals. How long should i be on that before taking armour ? I dont want my adrenals crashing. Ive had this for over 10 years,so i dont want to reverse what ive done to help my adrenals. Ive been taking stuff for adrenals for 4-5 months. Maybe if i take some basic stuff for adrenals at the same time as armour, then there will be no danger to my adrenals ?? Thanks,.
Guest guest
>>Ive been taking stuff for adrenals for 4-5 months.<< Stuff doesn;t tell me anything. WHAT exactly have you been taking? Have you checked your BP sitting then standing? If it drops you need to test cortisl with SALIVA testing you can order yourself from www.canaryclub.org before starting thyroid so you knwo how bad it si and that will determone what oyu need to treat it with., -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
" Stuff " = himalayan salt, licorice and ashwagandana...all 3 mentioned on the STTM site. Ive noticed that light does not feel like a knife in my eyes anymore. Might do the pupil thing tonight and the standing blood test

It is then gret along with some real cortisl added to the group and can infact be overkill and confusing then. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thought id tell you what been happening. Its only been 10 days on Armour..or TE as they call it,and already my body temp is up and staying fairly close to 37C...36.8-37.2..thats been the range the last 2 days. But today it hasnt gone under 37. even first thing in the morning today, its just a tad under 37. Its only 1 degree from where its 'normaly',but that 1 degree makes me feel like im hot in certain places it always been cool. ever since i was a kid i felt cool or cold. the top of my head which is cool is now warm to the touch, something its never been. Sometimes when im watching tv now and im clasping my hands they feel warm to touch. This is weird for me as my limbs have always felt cool/cold to the touch. Even the breath coming out of my nostrils feels hot, when i noticed that it took me by surprise. noticed that 2 days ago. So im staying on 30mg per day for now as my temp is 37,plus ive been like this for a very long time. If it stays at 37 i'll stay at this dose...if anyone thinks otherwise Id like to hear why and how much. Cheers...some like it hot...count me in.
