Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Reminder - I'm the 29 year old school teacher. (There are so many of us.) I haven't posted in awhile. My last post concerned whether to go to a general surgeon or thyroid surgeon. Well, I got that one answered for me. Because my " case " is advanced as I'm now being told (up to 5,8, or 12 years) I been walking around with this. Anyway I was sent to MUSC in ton, SC to see an surgical oncologist. He's great! He does 4-6 of these a month! However, he's put a CT doc. (thourasic?) surgeon on call because my nodule is so close to my esphogus and traec. that he's not sure if it's just pushing on it or it has actually invaded my traec. too. He knows we're doing a TT and central right neck disection, at the least. Anyway, that's what I've learned in the short two and half weeks (on the roller coaster ride) since I was informed about my FNA results. Well, I thought I had aleast another week to wait for surgery - but guess what? Got the call today that it's tomorrow! So long story short (HA HA), I'm writing to all of you now asking that you pray for the surgeons, me and a quick speedy recovery. I love to hear from everyone, and have learned sooooo much from each of you. (The good, bad and the ugly!) However, by the time anyone probably reads this I'll be on my way to ton (2 1/2 hour drive from home, gonna spend the night down there). So just pray!
